ABOUT ME - WHO I AM
Rooted in Community. Committed to Public Education
I’m a dedicated public education champion and proud Cochrane resident. With 12 years of trustee experience, I’ve earned a reputation as a trusted, collaborative voice focused on student success and accountable governance. As a parent, community builder, and lifelong learner, I believe strong public education is key to a brighter future for all.
Proudly calling Cochrane home for 18 years and Alberta for over 25, with deep personal and professional community connections.
I am a passionate advocate for students and families and am proud to have called Cochrane home for
the last 18 years. Focused on student success, responsible governance and meaningful collaboration, I
have had the honour of serving as Cochrane’s public school board trustee for Rocky View Schools for the
past 12 years.
Mom to two young adults, with a strong background in education and specialized training in leadership,
governance, and child development.
I am a proud parent of two young adults – one studying Criminal Justice at Mount Royal University and
one exploring their next steps – and understand the joys and challenges of navigating school systems
and supporting kids on unique paths. I continue to deepen my knowledge in leadership, governance,
and education to lead with empathy, insight and respect.
Serving 12 years with Rocky View Schools, including five as Board Chair and two as Vice Chair, focused
on student success, responsible governance, and collaboration.
I am a dedicated and trusted trustee with over a decade of experience and maintain strong connections
with parents through active engagement with school councils. My educational background,
complemented by advanced leadership and governance training, reinforces my commitment to
effective, values-driven leadership focused on student success and responsible decision-making.
Dedicated community leader and mentor committed to fostering connection, growth, and a strong
sense of belonging for people of all ages.
I am an engaged member of the Cochrane community committed to creating spaces where people feel
connected and welcomed. As manager of the Cochrane Movie House for more than 15 years, I’ve had
the privilege of mentoring youth and helping create a warm, inclusive space for families and community.
As a member of Cochrane SINGS!, I also enjoy sharing the joy of music and community through song.
Guided by the belief that public education creates opportunity, transforms lives and strengthens
communities to build a better future for all.
I am deeply committed to ensuring our schools provide supportive environments that offer every child
the chance to learn, grow and reach their full potential. I am running for re-election to continue serving
my community and advocating tirelessly for our students, families, and educators. Together, we can
build a brighter future for all.
